Doldrums Winter Festival: Thursday February 23 – Sunday February 26, Doldrums is coming to Ottawa. Not to be confused with the Toronto electronic group Doldrums, this is referring to the new music festival that will take place every year in Ottawa. It’s goal: to help you forget about the “low spirits”, or “doldrums”, that come with winter, by showcasing some of Ottawa’s best musical talent.
The Doldrums Winter Festival will take place at participating venues across Ottawa (Raw Sugar, Cafe Dekcuf, and the Rainbow), and will feature sets by favourites like Ornaments and New Teeth, and new comers like Aardwolf.
That’s right, Aardwolf will be joining the festival on Friday February 24! They’ve recently been clocking studio time with Ornaments alum Casey, so there’s a chance you’ll have a sneak peek of what’s to come from the band.*
To find out more about the festival and each event, check out the Doldrums Winter Festival Facebook page.
This is a great addition to the Ottawa music scene and a great chance to see the crazy talent its musicians have to offer. Don’t miss your chance to go out and support the artists and the amazing people putting the festival together. Help make it a success so we can see it every year.
*Stay tuned and get excited to hear what they’ve been doing in the studio.
